Want to try it yourself?
Why not join us on a “Paint Your own Piece” furniture workshop.
Have you ever fancied painting or up-cycling your own furniture but don’t know where to start? Well this is the course for you… Please join us for a fun filled furniture paint workshop suitable for beginners to advanced. The course is run by Charlotte from “Charlotte’s Country Commissions” who has many years experience of furniture painting and decorative techniques and can help you transform your old piece of furniture to new! It is a great introduction to using chalk paint on furniture and you will come away with a new skill and confidence to carry on painting!
All you need to bring is plenty of enthusiasm and your piece of furniture ready to transform! We will supply all the materials and paint you need. We suggest you start with a small mirror, picture frame, wall shelf, small coffee table, small chair, small side table etc. but if in doubt get in touch.
We teach you the basic furniture painting techniques as well as more adventurous techniques like gold leaf, crackle glaze and gilding waxes. You can have a go at creating a flat finish for a clean, contemporary look or a distressing shabby chic look for that classic country feel. We like to experiment with different coloured waxes to create a mix of styles, from scandi to industrial. Whatever piece you bring on the day you can be sure of creating your own unique design that you will treasure forever.
The course is limited to 4 people per session, so book early and leave a deposit to avoid disappointment.
