So my latest commissions has been this lovely set of farmhouse style chairs, stools and a table. My client wanted a complete change and needed the furniture to be updated to match her new kitchen.
So we got rid of the light green gloss and painted the set in 3 colour ways. I choose the Annie Sloan palate to match her soft furnishings and interior decor.
The farmhouse table got painted in French Linen chalk paint, lightly distressed and finished with Annie Sloan’s clear lacquer for extra durability. My client wanted the top to be left wooden so a nice contrast was made.
Then the stool legs got painted in Paris Grey chalk paint, lightly distressed and finished in lacquer, but left the natural wood showing on the top to match the table.
And to finish the 2 farmhouse style chairs needed a complete makeover, so I used Paloma chalk paint all over to create a nice solid look with a shabby chic style on the edges and finished with the clear lacquer too.
The overall look goes great with my clients new kitchen and the 3 colour tones go nicely together also. With the Annie Sloan colour chart you will never clash colours, so you will always get a lovely combination as long as you use complementary colours.
We are very happy with the finished result, what a transformation! 🙂
