DISPLAY CABINET – Painted in Old Ochre Chalk Paint!
This beautiful display cabinet has been painted and up-cycled for a new lease of life that was a family heirloom. It was originally a dark oak cabinet/bookcase, however my client wanted it transformed to a creamy warm colour with a light shabby chic style to match her other hand painted pieces in the living room. So Charlotte’s Country Commissions” came to the rescue..
I choose Old Ochre Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, as this was the best colour match for the room and looks stunning once distressed, as it shows a little of the wood coming through to add some texture. It was then finished off with Annie Sloan clear wax and buffed to a shine.
The finished results are wonderful bringing the lounge interior scheme together, keeping it neutral and warm was the best way to create a calm living space.
My client was over the moon that she could carry on using her Mothers beautiful piece of furniture in her interior decor. 🙂
