Charlotte's Bio

A little about me

I do indeed live in the beautiful Flintshire countryside, in rural North Wales with my husband Tony and our bonkers black Labrador “Bentley”. We all enjoy a good walk together up into the hills, in forests, around open fields, and of course on the stunning sandy beaches of North Wales.

For most of my life I have had a passion for interiors and what I love best is making rooms and furniture look pretty and colourful. I have renovated several old houses and painted lots of my own furniture to match the style and period of the house. I just love making a house a home and putting that extra unique stamp on it.

Having worked in the interior design & retail sector for many years now, I have developed a good eye for colours and designs, however I think the most important thing I have developed is the skill and confidence to work with customers to create that unique piece and give it that hand painted personal touch.

In the past I have worked at Laura Ashley Interiors, Fired Earth and small independent shops too like The Palace Darling in Chester and Baroque in Denbigh and Ruthin. I attended Preston College and qualified as an Interior Designer and have taken courses in Decorative Furniture Painting Techniques including An introduction to The Annie Sloan Method & Annie Sloan techniques for colour and style, which have all been taught by Annie Sloan herself in Oxford. All of these skills I now use for Country Commissions.

My aim is to provide a bespoke hand painted furniture service throughout North Wales and Cheshire and run fun furniture painting workshops that will help people gain the confidence to paint their own furniture.

My passion for painted furniture, unique interiors and artistic use of colours is what I have loved doing for many years now and with my skills, expertise and natural artistic flair, I can’t wait to share my creations with you.
